PILATES tones the body, giving awareness of posture and improves body alignment, strengthens core stability. Pilates optimises breathing, (beneficial for asthma sufferers) and is relaxing. With Body Control’s graduated approach, Pilates is now well-recognised for rehabilitation and about half my clients have been referred by Physios, Chiropractors and Osteopaths. It is also suitable for ante and post-natal care, with its emphasis on the pelviic floor.
